To list your property there is a one-off fee of $150 + GST for a six month listing or $250 + GST for a 12 month listing. There are NO additional fees unless you choose to purchase a "Private Sale" billboard to erect out the front of your property for $50+ GST (includes delivery Australia-wide).

For a limited time only we are offering listings for just $50 + GST for 12 months. This is a saving of $200.

Once you have completed the registration process, you will be guided through the set-up of your listing by filling out the user-friendly templates. The template fields highlight the features and characteristics of your property including the size of your house and land plus specifics such as the number of bedrooms and bathrooms.

You can load up to 20 photographs to showcase your property. Images must no larger then three megabytes.

If you know the postcode of the suburb or town that you're looking to buy in, enter this in the box below and press 'go'.

A list of properties that fall within your designated postcode will appear on the following screen. You can refine your search using the boxes to the left of the screen. The site allows you to search within surrounding suburbs and towns, for a distinct property type such as a townhouse or acreage, the number of bedrooms you require, your preferred land area and for properties in a particular price range.

When you find a property that matches what you're looking for, click on the profile to be taken to the full details. Here you can view additional photographs plus find out the exact location of the property in the Google Map below.

You will notice that some sellers list their contact details allowing direct contact while others include a 'contact seller' button. This approach facilitates communication via Buy It Privately's email server without revealing the seller's personal details. You may find however that after initial contact is made, the seller may choose to provide you with their direct contact details.

As a buyer you can also choose whether to reveal your contact details to the seller. When you select 'contact seller' it is up to you whether you fill in your name or email address in the message or leave this blank. Your message will be sent to the seller regardless. Buy It Privately's email server allows the seller to reply to your message without knowing your details. Again, you may find that after initial contact is made you may choose to provide your contact details.

Once a listing has expired it can be extended for a further six months for $150 + GST or 12 months for $250 + GST. An email notification will be sent 30 days before the cut-off date, then seven days prior and again one day prior alerting you that your listing is due to expire.

Should your property sell within the six month or 12 month period, the extension is obviously not required.

Once the property is marked 'sold' it will remain on Buy It Privately for two weeks. The property will otherwise remain on Buy It Privately until the six or 12 month listing duration expires.
